A surrealist 16mm short film. A company relocates their HR department to the 'Middle of Nowhere'. An intern clashes with his superiors, and some very unocooperative pigeons.

DEVELOPMENT
Pigeon-Livered was an ambitious project from the beginning. 16mm, in a field, surrealist. The sets were big, as were the costumes.
As costume designer I focused on shape theory to capture the characters. Circle for the intern, harsh triangles for the head of HR, and blocky squares for the narrator/CEO. I also tried to capture the out-of-time nature of the project. Some of the blouses are 80s, some suits are 60s, some items jarringly modern. All of this fights any attempt by the audience to categorise it, ultimately showing the frustrating bizzarity of company bureaucracy.
